How To Install Wide Pocket Rods If I Have A 4 Foot Wide Opening For A Window And Want To Install A 6'' Wide Door, Can I Do This?

If I have a 4 foot wide opening for a window and want to install a 6'' wide door, can I do this? - how to install wide pocket rods

This is a bearing wall and the door is 1 1 / 2 feet from the end of the outer wall. Are there other concerns together next to the construction of a temporary head while working on the design and installation of a head with (2) 2 x12 and a piece of wood?

Don `t just go hacking at the wall. You may have wiring problems for management. (Electric, cable, phone, etc.) These can be returned. In addition, by age and location of your house wall anchors could be a problem. Some newer homes are anchored by a threaded rod through the plate from top to bottom on the wall and epoxy resin on the pad. Except that you might seek some advice from an inspector.
If the device should be installed on a wooden floor (plywood substrate), a barrier between the lower limit and floor to save her. This will help remove moisture and prevent any possibility of electrolysis between the nails on the floor and different metals on the threshold.
